It was Belle's birthday yesterday and whilst she had lots of lovely stuff, it was the envelope from my mother that rally caught my eye.
There in the top right hand corner was a stamp covered in narrowboats:
Three Butties and a steam powered motor boat.
That got me thinking. How many other UK canal stamps exist? A Google image search provided the answer - not at lot, In fact I found just one of James Brindley with the old Barton Aqueduct in the background.
I stand to be corrected - can you turn up any other examples?
